The Locanda Gandriese is a historical restaurant in Gandria. Nestled in the characteristic heart of the village, it is a pioneer of Ticino hospitality. The elders of the village still remember the moments of conviviality spent near the large historical fireplace, which still exists today.
The space is divided into an indoor room with balcony overlooking Lake Ceresio, and three bedrooms overlooking the beautiful surrounding landscape.

Since February 2017 it has been managed by the young Davide Crobe, a chef of Sardinian origin with a background that includes important work experience, both in Italy and Switzerland. His cuisine is characterized by the reinterpretation of local and Sardinian specialties.

Besides being able to host your private events, we can also provide our catering services outside, with a catering service capable of meeting your requirements.

We renovated the premises of our restaurant first in 2017, for the new opening, and then in 2019. The approximately 55 seats are distributed mainly in a large room, communicating with the balcony, our pride and joy. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Ceresio and eat accompanied by the sounds of nature and the waves breaking on the shores of the lake. Immediatly near the main entrance you can observe the large bar counter and, in front of it, the majestic historic fireplace.

Other tables are located in a section of the structure suspended above the street below which leads to the piers, near the entrance to the rooms.

We have three rooms overlooking the lake: a triple room with a large double bed and a single bed; a double room with a large double bed; a twin room with single beds easily convertible into a comfortable and large double bed. All rooms are equipped with a wardrobe for the arrangement of clothes. Although the bathroom is shared in each one there is a small toilet.

In our menu the local flavors are combined with those of Sardinia, expertly revisiting traditional recipes and proposing them in new and refined combinations. Generally there is a section entirely dedicated to your children.
